#1 LSU vs #2 Alabama November 9, 2019 @ 3:30 pm

Updated: Nov 9, 2019

As this highly anticipated showdown rapidly approaches, I wanted to get out my thoughts on the undefeated Tigers vs. the undefeated Tide.

Let’s get the ball rolling with the obvious headline here: Tua. The junior phenom is expected to start this weekend vs the Tigers. Tua recently had surgery that addressed a high ankle sprain and he did not play in the win over Arkansas. He has been rehabbing and LSU is preparing their defense to play against a very talented, dual threat QB.

On the other end of this matchup is Heisman favorite, Joe Burrow. Burrow has been putting up impressive, record breaking numbers so far this season and his dominant Tigers are 8-0. There isn’t too much to be said about Joe Burrow so I’ll just let his arm cannon and play making abilities do all the talking.

Both Alabama and LSU’s offenses are completely stacked: they’re fully equipped record breaking QB’s (assuming that Tua does play) and insane receiving cores.. enter Jerry Jeudy. Needless to say, both teams are preparing to face the other’s extremely talented receivers in an attempt to lock them down. I believe that The Tide’s cornerbacks vs The Tigers’ receivers will be worth watching.

Call game: this is what someone’s defense is going to have to do. Whether it be LSU or Bama, someone’s defense is going to have to step up. With this potentially being Tua’s first start since having surgery, The Tide’s defense may need to be the ones to make the plays because this probably won’t be one of those 40+ point blowouts that they’re used to.

I do not expect this game to be pretty, but it will definitely be one for the books. A shootout, shutout, or close call... we’ll just have to wait and see. Tomorrow when that game starts, you should probably grab your popcorn and take a seat. You may not want to miss this. Will The Tide stomp on Burrow’s parade or will The Tigers turn the tide?
